OUR PROJECTS
Addis Ababa Composting Hub (Pilot Phase)
Objective: Process 10 tons of organic waste per day, scaling up to 50 tons/day.
Activities: Collect waste from markets, households, and institutions; convert it into compost using the QuantorXL® Bioreactor.
Impact: Reduce landfill emissions, create jobs, and supply compost to local farms.
Sheger and Debre-Birhan Composting Hubs (Expansion Phase)
Objective: Replicate the Addis Ababa model in Sheger and Debre-Birhan to decentralize waste processing.
Activities: Establish additional composting facilities, train local operators, and expand organic waste collection networks.
Impact: Broaden environmental and agricultural benefits across multiple regions.
Soil Restoration Initiatives
Objective: Combat farmland degradation (85% of Ethiopia’s land).
Activities:Distribute compost to farms and land rehabilitation projects to improve soil fertility and water retention.
Impact: Increase crop yields by 20–30% and reduce reliance on synthetic fertilizers.
Green Jobs and Community Empowerment Program
Objective: Create sustainable employment and skills development.
Activities:Train and hire 500+ direct workers (focusing on youth and women) for waste collection, composting, and distribution.
Impact: Generate $2.5M in wages and foster social equity.
Climate Resilience and Emission Reduction Project
Objective: Align with Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy.
Activities:Cut methane emissions by converting organic waste, avoiding 9,000–18,000 tons of CO₂-eq annually.
Impact: Contribute to global climate goals (SDG 13) and local air quality improvement.
Awareness and Stewardship Campaigns
Objective: Promote environmental education and community engagement.
Activities:Workshops on waste segregation, composting benefits, and sustainable farming practices.
Impact: Encourage long-term behavioral change and local ownership of green initiatives.

What we do
Convert Organic Waste into Compost
Transform over 4 million tons of annual municipal waste (70% organic) into nutrient-rich compost using the QuantorXL® Bioreactor, a Swedish energy-efficient technology.
Restore Soil Health
Improve degraded farmland (85% of Ethiopia's land) by enhancing soil fertility, water retention, and reducing erosion.
Create Green Jobs & Empower Communities
Generate 500+ direct jobs and 1,200+ total employment opportunities, focusing on youth and women empowerment through training and jobs.
Pilot & Scale Decentralized Composting Hubs
Launch in Addis Ababa (10 tons/day, scaling to 50 tons/day), Sheger, and Debre-Birhan, collecting waste from markets, homes, and institutions.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Cut methane emissions from landfills, reducing CO₂-equivalent emissions by 9,000–18,000 tons per year.
Boost Agricultural Productivity
Increase crop yields by 20–30% and reduce dependency on imported synthetic fertilizers, saving $120+ million annually.
Promote Circular Economy & Sustainability
Align with Ethiopia's Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy and UN SDGs (2, 8, 12, 13, 15) by turning waste into wealth.
Distribute Compost for Farm & Restoration Use
Supply high-quality compost to farms and land restoration projects, closing the waste-to-agriculture loop.
