What we do
Convert Organic Waste into Compost
Transform over 4 million tons of annual municipal waste (70% organic) into nutrient-rich compost using the QuantorXL® Bioreactor, a Swedish energy-efficient technology.
Restore Soil Health
Improve degraded farmland (85% of Ethiopia's land) by enhancing soil fertility, water retention, and reducing erosion.
Create Green Jobs & Empower Communities
Generate 500+ direct jobs and 1,200+ total employment opportunities, focusing on youth and women empowerment through training and jobs.
Pilot & Scale Decentralized Composting Hubs
Launch in Addis Ababa (10 tons/day, scaling to 50 tons/day), Sheger, and Debre-Birhan, collecting waste from markets, homes, and institutions.
Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Cut methane emissions from landfills, reducing CO₂-equivalent emissions by 9,000–18,000 tons per year.
Boost Agricultural Productivity
Increase crop yields by 20–30% and reduce dependency on imported synthetic fertilizers, saving $120+ million annually.
Promote Circular Economy & Sustainability
Align with Ethiopia's Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy and UN SDGs (2, 8, 12, 13, 15) by turning waste into wealth.
Distribute Compost for Farm & Restoration Use
Supply high-quality compost to farms and land restoration projects, closing the waste-to-agriculture loop.
OUR PROJECTS
Addis Ababa Composting Hub (Pilot Phase)
Objective: Process 10 tons of organic waste per day, scaling up to 50 tons/day.
Activities: Collect waste from markets, households, and institutions; convert it into compost using the QuantorXL® Bioreactor.
Impact: Reduce landfill emissions, create jobs, and supply compost to local farms.
Sheger and Debre-Birhan Composting Hubs (Expansion Phase)
Objective: Replicate the Addis Ababa model in Sheger and Debre-Birhan to decentralize waste processing.
Activities: Establish additional composting facilities, train local operators, and expand organic waste collection networks.
Impact: Broaden environmental and agricultural benefits across multiple regions.
Soil Restoration Initiatives
Objective: Combat farmland degradation (85% of Ethiopia’s land).
Activities:Distribute compost to farms and land rehabilitation projects to improve soil fertility and water retention.
Impact: Increase crop yields by 20–30% and reduce reliance on synthetic fertilizers.
Green Jobs and Community Empowerment Program
Objective: Create sustainable employment and skills development.
Activities:Train and hire 500+ direct workers (focusing on youth and women) for waste collection, composting, and distribution.
Impact: Generate $2.5M in wages and foster social equity.
Climate Resilience and Emission Reduction Project
Objective: Align with Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) strategy.
Activities:Cut methane emissions by converting organic waste, avoiding 9,000–18,000 tons of CO₂-eq annually.
Impact: Contribute to global climate goals (SDG 13) and local air quality improvement.
Awareness and Stewardship Campaigns
Objective: Promote environmental education and community engagement.
Activities:Workshops on waste segregation, composting benefits, and sustainable farming practices.
Impact: Encourage long-term behavioral change and local ownership of green initiatives.
Our Approach

Our Approach
-
We focus on knowledge transfer and the implementation of innovative solutions in their respective environments to attract further investments.
-
We work to create the best conditions for global climate recovery and local environmental development through smart, sustainable practices.
-
We develop and implement projects with a strong emphasis on analysis, learning, and experience-sharing.
How We Work

Comprehensive Project Management
We manage entire projects, ensuring that our guiding principles and standards are upheld throughout. We maintain oversight and documentation at every stage of the project lifecycle. We contribute to or support existing projects, assuming responsibility for specific segments while helping them meet desired control and reporting standards.

Collaboration & Expertise
Through strategic partnerships and member organizations, we stay closely connected to regional and industry-specific environmental initiatives. We actively listen to the needs of projects through our advisory boards, regional representatives, and digital working committees. When necessary, we bring in expert consultants to ensure the highest level of specialized knowledge and strategic input.

Advocacy & Policy Influence
We act as a strong voice for climate and environmental projects by engaging with policymakers, analysts, and decision-makers at local, regional, national, and international levels. We share insights and best practices from our projects, propose solutions, and respond to policy developments in related fields. Our results-driven approach ensures that every initiative we support contributes to meaningful and lasting environmental progress.
